Sustainability Appraisal, Sustainability Assessment or Integrated Assessment, refers to a range of approaches to assess the sustainability of policies or planning processes. This emphasises an integrated view of the three dimensions of sustainable development (social, economic and environmental), rather than just the environmental dimension. Some Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) models can be classified as Sustainability Assessments.
